Mastering Lightroom Classic Tone Curves: A Guide to Precision Editing

Okay, here’s another Lightroom Classic tip. So I’ve got my tone curve, and I’m gonna use this button to select the parts of the image that I wanna create points for and then change later. I’ll click the shadows here, I’ll click the midtones here, and then we’ll grab highlights up here. Okay, great. The points have been created on the curve, but the problem is that when you click and drag, it tends to go pretty far, pretty fast. That’s. That’s not working at all. The next time, try this trick. If you just need a minimal adjustment, instead of clicking and dragging the curve, move your mouse over it and then push up or down on your arrow key to change it just a tad. By doing it this way, you can really lock in the look that you want to achieve, and you don’t have to be too worried about clicking and dragging that mouse too far. Save this for later. Hope it helps.
