This is your sign to take your parents on that trip they’ve always wanted to go on. This is my mom, and she thinks she’s visiting me in New York, but she has no idea that I’m about to take her to Paris, place she’s dreamt about going for a very long, long time. As some of you already know, growing up, we couldn’t afford luxuries like traveling. And I’m grateful to be in a position now to not only be able to travel myself, but share that with people that I love. This is my mom’s first time in a country that’s not the US or Mexico, and it’s hard to put into words the joy it brought me to see her finally being able to scratch this trip off her bucket list. It was like seeing her inner child come alive. This trip reminded me that true happiness comes from spending time with people we care about. If you’re thinking about taking your parents on a trip, do it. Book those flights. The only thing you’ll regret is that you didn’t do it sooner.
