Lessons from No Spend August: Finding Joy in Frugality and Friendship

Let’s discuss the things that I Learned from no spend August. I like spending money. Okay? I Learned that I enjoy shopping. I enjoy spending my money. I also Learned that free things are fun. Okay. I love picnics. I love picnic. I also Learned that if I limit myself to not spending money, I’m not gonna leave my apartment. Okay? I spent so much time in this apartment, which I love. I love the apartment, but I do need to get out there. I Learned that my friends are respectful of my spending habits. Nobody pressured me into doing something that I couldn’t do because of no spend August. Um, nobody shamed me for not spending money in August. Everyone was very accommodating and very nice, which I have never experienced that in friendships before. So I was very happy about that. Let me be clear. I have experienced that before, except for with one friendship. That was just truly terrible. Anyways, all that to say, I really enjoyed no spend August. My finances are well in order now. I’m feeling very good about them. Um, I am gonna be spending money in September because I have some things that I wanna purchase for this place. I’m also going to Europe. Okay? I’m going on a cruise. Money is gonna be spent, but I am going to try and reduce the money that I spend. One of the big ones is going out to eat. Okay? I can cook At home. I can cook at home
