Many people have blamed Aussie breakdancer Raygun for being the reason breaking is not included in the 2028 Olympic Games. But is this really true? While Raygun went viral for her creative performance at Paris 2024, the Aussie has nothing to do with breaking not being featured in the next games. Each host nation has the opportunity to select which sports they would like to stage and this is done years in advance. According to a statement from the International Olympic Committee, the LA 2028 Organising Committee did not include breaking in the list of sports it recommended for its program. World Dance Sport Federation said it was disappointed with the decision to exclude breaking, but he’s working hard to have the sport included at the Olympic Games Brisbane 2032. Just as softball, baseball has returned to LA twenty eight after missing out on Paris 2024.
