Day 4. Doing a Marathon. A day till I meet the king. Day 4 underway. The British weather is doing its best. It’s raining today. It’s giving out rain all day, so let’s see how this goes. Granola for breakfast and positivity in the air today. Not sure what it is, but it’s certainly here and present. Absolutely hammer it down today. Great. Admittedly, once again, I’ve probably picked the worst time of year to do something like this. I’ve had to put the bag cover on for the first time in these four days. I’m also putting the waterproof coat back on. What a terrible start. Today is gonna be a grim day, I can just tell. No rush today. Just get it done. Stay dry if I can. Absolutely soaking wet already. Just passing through a beautiful little village called Ballington, just outside of Macclesfield. I’m coming up to somewhere where I think there’s a sweet shop. I’m starving. I’ve had no dinner. I’m absolutely starving. Get some sweets for lunch, come on. Yep, of course it should. When you’re on a challenge like this and you’re a bit low, remind yourself why you started. Remind yourself the angle that you’re trying to help when doing it. Now, this is a walk that I’m completing today at the Middlewood Way. Halfway in, 13 miles. Just arrived in a small town called Marple. Quite good, actually. There’s some shops around there. It’s quite a bit up, so hopefully grab Myself. Some lunch, it’s more like it. Look at that for a lunch. And we found a sandwich with no mayonnaise on it. 10 out of 10. Asda. Looks like it’s gonna be a late one tonight. Messed around too much today. Walk slow. Just been stuck for motivation. Really exhausted all pit stop for four days in. My knees and feet are starting to give way. Already struggling now. Last four miles, probably another hour or so. I’m back home and getting ready for day 5. One mile left. Today has been deadly on my body, but we’ve managed to get through as we always do. Alright. Day 4 complete. Quick bit of positivity. Nutrition jobs are good.
