Unveiling the iPhone 16: Pre-Order Timelines, Expected Release Date, and Vacation Dilemmas

Alright, so let’s talk about the iPhone 16 a little bit here. Specifically pre order timelines and expected release date in the actual event and all that, and then we’ll get into why I’m a little bit screwed here. Okay, so the actual event has officially been announced and is scheduled for Monday the 9th at one PM Eastern, which I believe is about 10:00am specific time. You can expect it to be probably around two hours long, like it always is. And it’s gonna be announcing a bunch of the apple hardware. I expect them to announce, of course, the iPhone 16, the 16 Pro, their corresponding bigger versions, and then maybe some more apple intelligence features that will be exclusive to those phones. There’s probably gonna be some other hardware here and there as well, but those are gonna be the main meat and potatoes of the event. And there usually will open up pre orders for those phones the following Friday. So here I’ve got iPhone 16 pre orders opening up at around 8 or 9:00am on Friday the 13th. Again, this is eastern time zone. And usually the phone will officially launch the following week. So Friday the 20th. I have iPhone release day on here. Somewhere in there, maybe around the 16th or so, you can expect the official launch of iOS 18.0 as well. And as to whether or not 18.1 will be released alongside it, just on those only compatible devices, we’ll see. But less optimistic about that. That might come a little bit later. Okay, now what’s going on with me during this time frame and what am I going to be able to cover and when? Let me just toggle on my own little vacation schedule here. And you can see that nothing’s really impacted from the start. I’ll be able to watch the event, I’ll be able to cover the hardware announcements from the event over the course of the next few days. However, when we get over to the pre order, you’ll notice that I am gonna be flying right around the time that the praters are expected to open up. So I’m either gonna be like boarding my flight or in the air. And I will be going on vacation basically from that 13th all the way to the twenty first. And what that means is that on iPhone release day, if I get a pre order in, I will be in the Bahamas. So I don’t really know what I’m gonna do about that right now. I could theoretically try to get a pre order in when it opens up, be it while I’m in the air or while I’m waiting to board my plane, depending on when it actually does. But if I do that, then I’m going to have to like have it shipped to my brother’s house or something, and then pick it up a day or two after the official launch of the Phone when I’m back from my vacation. The other option is just to not worry about it. I might end up just skipping the pre order phase altogether. When I get home from my trip, I will then go and order a phone, and then whatever the actual delivery time is at that point. It might be a month later, it might be longer. I will get the phone, and I’ll be able to cover the actual hardware. You know, late September is a good, like, cheap time to travel. And I think I’m learning it’s because everybody just wants the new iPhone. Okay, obviously not. But the good news is that this vacation isn’t just strictly for vacationing. Uh, I’m also gonna be recording some video and then using that for content going forward. So, uh, regardless of whether or not I actually have iPhone hardware at the time, you can expect some interesting content following that vacation. But regarding the actual iPhone stuff, I will keep you updated on the plan. It might not be until after I’m actually back from my vacation, depending on how the pre order process goes. Uh, when I actually can give you an update and tell you when I will have hardware. Maybe it’ll be, hey, I just got it! Or maybe it’ll be, oh, not for another month.
