MOB M ONE FIFTY FOURB: A Cool-Toned Lipstick Revelation

To say I’m thrilled about this is actually an understatement. This is one of my favourite things to talk about lipstick. Now, what I’m very excited about with this is not only the shade am I thrilled to see, but the way that MOB handled this, just incredibly so. In my hands, I have a box from MOB. Ah! I’m literally so excited. Anytime I see this box, I know it’s gonna be fantastic. But this is M ONE FIFTY four. And they even have a thing in here for concealer. Lipgate. Mob, get out. Concealer Lipgate. Introducing M ONE FIFTY FOURB. Hold on. Introducing M ONE FIFTY FOURB Soft Matte Lipstick, the shade we created with Jessica Hayes and Nintendo. Launch on 8:13. If you’re loving the M1 54 you previously received, you’re not alone. We decided to keep this happy accident shade in our shade lineup. Cute. Love that. On the flip side, lab Science Alert. Swatch M ONE FIFTY FOUR next to M ONE FIFTY FOURB, and you’ll see that M ONE FIFTY FOURB is a paler and cooler. Is paler and cooler because it contains more blue. No. 1 pigment. I love that pigment. This pigment is a bit more sheer and unstable than some of our traditionally used mineral pigments. And in the extended exposure to high heat during production of M ONE FIFTY FOUR you receive previously, this pigment faded a bit, resulting in a warmer final result than the shade Jessica intended. Which do you prefer? Are you Team Warm or Team Cool? I’m gonna tell you right now, I’m Team Cool. I Am team cool, especially when it comes to lipsticks. I cannot tell you how much I love cool tone lips. And I think that is very obvious. Maybe, maybe. But I just. I actually can’t wait anymore. I have been. There’s. I stopped everything that I was doing, and I need to try this. Even just seeing, like, the packaging, it is no secret that I absolutely adore the soft, matte lips from MOB, and I have for a very long time. I love Jessica’s shades, and I feel like I’m absolutely gonna be obsessed with this, especially because I’ve seen the comparisons. I do have an M1 50 four here. It is one that I actually got in the lab before they even launched. And I remember seeing it, and I was like, this is, like, peachier than I feel like I’ve seen it. A lot of times, lips will end up looking more, like, warm on me, or they just wear more warm on me. And I thought, no big deal, but I wasn’t losing my mind. It is more peach. And that what I just said. Yeah. So this is M1 fifty four that I’ve been wearing and trying, and just, honestly, I really like it. It’s a beautiful peach, but I just. I have a feeling that I’m going to love this. So let me try it on. I love Jessica shades, truly, so much. And seeing her try this. Oh, so cute. Here’s what it Looks like just in the little Bio tube as that slight vanilla scent. I’m gonna try it on alone first, but I will probably put it with a lip liner, but let’s try and compare. That is very pretty. That is very pretty. It is. It is still looking very like peach on me, though. I’m so curious to see these next to each other now. I’m not surprised to see shades like this look more peachy on me, cause it just color theory and undertones and so on and so forth. I know those are kind of becoming like buzzwords, for lack of a better term, kind of online, and it’s a little frustrating sometimes hearing people talk about things like that, and it’s like, okay, but what are you. What are you basing this on, anyway? That’s just like a side rant. That is really pretty. That is really pretty. It’s a 1:54 next to it. Wow. Okay. Yeah. The thing I really like about this is if I was in Jessica’s position and I saw these two and I noticed that they were just not the same, I’m just. I’m so glad that mob did what they did, because this is so personal. I would imagine I’m. Now maybe I’m projecting, but also, I think just because knowing Jessica, the little bit that I do and seeing the care that she has put into shades and continues to put into shades, I can’t imagine it would just Been a like a. Oh, that’s totally fine. Just go ahead with it. I just. I don’t feel like that would be the case. Here they are swatched on my hand. Over here we have 1:50, four B, and here is 1:54. Now, I think if you’re a hater, you’re probably gonna say that those are very similar or that those are the same. However, I would ask you to shut up. Haha, sorry. They’re not the same. They are, in my opinion, and I think everyone would agree, different. This is so important in so many levels that they got this right on Jessica’s behalf. So this one is 1:54 B, 1:00. 54B is definitely lighter. It is cooler. This is 1:54. Has a little more warmth, has a little bit more depth. What I have seen a couple people say is that they’re like, oh, it’s not a light pink. I don’t think it was meant to be, like, a light pink. Think that’s just my opinion. Also, I’m going to swatch 1:19 next to these as well. And again, maybe this is just me, like, assuming, but I feel like Jessica really likes, like, a peachy lip. So this is M19 here on the end. And again, the intended shade right here on the other end, 1:54 B. See what I mean? Trying to catch it in, like, different lights too, as lighting has a lot to do how you see colors or if someone is like, Maybe filming with whatever it is that you’re filming with, the colors might turn out a little bit weird or wonky or not true. To shade, it’s very difficult, and especially across screen as well. Basically, there’s many factors. Let me put some lip liner with this. I actually. I’m not gonna lie. I would probably wear this alone. I am incredibly, incredibly fair. And this is cute. Has, like, a lusheness to it. I don’t know. I love them. I am gonna pair this with a black lip liner because that is probably how I would wear it most. And I’m really excited to have this, like, a light, kind of peachy ish tone for fall. Like this timing is so nice. It’s almost like they did it on purpose. So again, 1:54, B. Oh, wow. Jessica. Yeah, dude. Yeah. Oh, my god. Oh, my god. I’m obsessed with this. I do love this a lot. And you know what it makes me think of? It makes me think of some certain lipsticks that I do not support and do not purchase, but in a vegan, cruelty free, clean version, which, you know, love that. I think these are all really stunning. I would argue that I need all of them, and I’m so glad that I have all of them. I think if you like a peachy, kind of hot, like, concealer lip type of vibe, this might be for you. If you’re me or fairer, honestly, wearing It alone doesn’t feel, like, so crazy. But I would also suggest, if you’re feeling like this is, like, too light on you, pair it with a black lip liner. Dude, pair it with black lip liner. This is one of my favorite ways, if not my top favorite way to wear lips like this. And it’s just. It’s so good. It’s so good, if I do say so myself. I am so happy to see this. I, I love this a lot. Jessica, congratulations on a stunning, gorgeous shade and unexpectedly kind of having two new shades. I know Jessica has also been teasing this, so I feel okay saying this, I also can’t wait for all the other things that Jessica has coming up. But anyway, I love this. I love how this was handled. I will be wearing this a lot. Let me know your thoughts. And also, I would love to know if your team warm tone or cool tone with lips, specifically. Thanks for being here. Thanks so much for watching. Follow me for more makeup beauty content, and I will see you in the next video. Bye. It’s a hot lip. It’s a hot lip.
