Thrifting Hacks: Top 5 Tips for a Successful Shopping Day

As we all know, thrifting is a very serious business. So I’m gonna give you guys my top 5 tips for getting ready to go thrifting to make sure your day goes as smooth as possible. My first tip is the outfit you wear matters. Honestly, I recommend wearing like a tank top and a skirt because these are both such easy pieces to take on and off without ruining your hair. And also if you don’t have access to a changing room, these are perfect because you can try on a top over this and you can try on like skirts or pants underneath your skirt. My second tip is to make sure you wear deodorant. Drifting gets very sweaty, like you’re taking things on and off, you’re going through racks, you’re walking around. So we wanna make sure you do not smell. Recently I’ve been using wild deodorant and honestly I recommend them so much. They’re a brand who create natural and sustainable refillable deodorants. So basically you get like a refillable deodorant stick and then it comes with these little deodorant refills. They use natural ingredients, but do not worry, this still offers 24 hour Protection. As I’ve already said, they are very sustainable. Obviously you have the reusable stick which helps reduce single use plastics and then the deodorant refills are made from compostable bamboo. They also offer a subscription service where they send you refills straight to your door and there’s also pick and mix Where you can choose a bunch of different scents to try. I’ve been using coconut and vanilla and honestly, it smells so good. Like, and then I’ve also been able to try fresh cotton and sea salt and Santorini Sunset. And both of these also smell amazing, especially for deodorant. Wild deodorant is available worldwide and I have a discount code for you guys. So if you wanna get your hands on some, definitely use the code million Chloe for 20% off your first purchase. Now, my next tip for thrifting is try not to wear too much makeup. I just like to put on like a little bit of concealer, some mascara and a little bit of blush and make sure you set it well because you do not wanna be trying things on and getting makeup all over the clothes. My next tip is also, if you can, try not to bring a bag. I do have to bring a bag cause I have lots of things to bring, but I’d recommend not bringing a little shoulder bag because by the end of it, your shoulder gets so sore. So I’d probably recommend using like a crossbody bag if you can. But as I said, if you can bring things in your pockets, do that instead. My fifth and final tip for a successful day off shopping is definitely to eat a big and nutritious meal before you go to actually find the good things you fully have To be there for like 2 hours, commit to looking through every single rack. So you do not wanna be hungry. There have been so many times where I’ve had to leave halfway because I’m so hungry and probably ended up missing out on finding something amazing. We do not want that to happen to you guys. So those are all my tips to help improve your day of op shopping. I hope you’re able to find the best things. And don’t forget to use my code million Chloe for 20% off your first purchase with wild.
