Nine Months in a Cruise Cabin: A Souvenir Showcase and Reflection

hello MTV and welcome to my crib come on in so we’re gonna be in this cabin for nine months so it’s been nine months now and a lot has changed it’s finally coming to an end which unfortunately does mean packing because despite living in a cruise cabin with no windows for nine months I have bought a lot of souvenirs let’s take one more tour down memory lane because you’ve been there with me and so now I’m gonna show you some of my favourite souvenirs this wooden hippo this wooden hippo weighs 40 point 1 pounds and I carried him a half a mile from the market to the ship it’s my emotional support llama gonna have to keep him away from my dog because he has eaten my other llamas before a Jade turtle from the Great Wall of China the right size to hit your ankle when he’s sitting on the ground so my ankles have suffered from it we have these lovely stone fruits from Lucca Joke is not only are they stone fruits but they also made from stone I buy souvenirs that to me Are representative of either my experiences there or something that the country is really proud of and I often try to support local artists they’re huge I will be painting these I got them in Amsterdam also this is my favourite magnet I got it in Greece Komodo dragon from Lombok accidentally scared a room attendant because I hadn’t had a chance to tell him yet that I bought it while it was sitting on the bed that one did get the um the manager of the floor called on us he is a little fish piggy bank but at the time we thought he was too big it’s probably about halfway full Love any place that commits to a bit Mauritius loves dodo birds we have one we have about five dodo bots We like it cause it’s a mom and a baby and I’m travelling with my mom so it’s a life size representation of a platypus I love a good mug shrum it’s a shrimp mug stunning example of bead work from South Africa My egg by the first time that I met cruise mom and cruise dad and immediately borrowed money off of them Love all of my souvenirs which is very very true don’t get me wrong The best souvenirs for me is really just the experiences and the connections that I’ve made at this trip and that of course includes the connections of you because you’ve been there every day with me even on days where it’s it’s tough for me to post because I’m getting overwhelmed with (not) knowing where my life goes but without you there would not have been this trip so thank you for joining me on this journey I’m excited to see what adventure awaits us because I’m terrified this has been my safe space you know I know what I’m doing the next day and I don’t know what I’m doing after this but I think together we could definitely find it out
