Welcome to August Hits and shits, where I talk about all the products I used in the month of August. What was a hit and what was shit. Welcome to part 2 shits. So much to discuss this month. It was actually. The amount of flops that were flopping were insane. So strap on in, grab your haterade, let’s go. The gasp. I gasped when I put this foundation on. Oh, my gosh, my reviews already up. This is the Dior Forever Foundation. Stick so bad. This is so bad. This is heavy. It looks cakey. It’s very easy to put too much on. It’s things into the pores like absolutely nobody’s business. And it’s really finicky. It does work well with, like, smoothing and blurring primers, but anything that has a little bit of a hydration, a little bit of tackiness to it, it drags. I do not like it. I do not like it. I do not like it. It was so unflattering at the end of the day, and for what, like 40, 50 dollars? You are. You’re. What are you doing? It’s been too long since I talked about how much I freaking hated this. And my friend Karen subjected me to use it. I know it’s dramatic, but this is absolutely one of the worst complexion products I’ve ever used. I haven’t used it in over a year, so I’m here to just remind you again, it separates. Sometimes it’s water, sometimes it’s foundation. It Pills with so much of my skincare. Overall it’s a greasy oily mess. I hate her. The coast is BB and the coast is glow IV. Awful garbage. Now calling the illusive blush a shit little bit traumatic. I don’t think it’s the absolute worst thing in the world, but it is such a firm consistency that I can’t swipe it on the cheek, which. Okay, fine, but even if I take a brush and pick it up and apply it like this because it’s so firm, I feel like when I try to pick it up with the brush, only like oils or whatever the shine is picks up on the brush and then it doesn’t really even we disperse on the cheek, at least not without moving my complexion product around. Just how hard it is to work with, to me isn’t super worth it. Very disappointing because I just put an Alicia product in my hits video. But the Alicia X2 Double Eyelash curler. Absolutely terrible. First of all, I hate eyelash curlers that do this. Like this is their resting position. I feel like it takes up so much space in your bag, in your drawer, whatever. But the curve of this. For an Asian beauty brand, I was so surprised that the curve is so round. This is giving western eyeball, not almond eye friendly. So with, you know, the spring always being open and weird and then with the curve being super dramatic, this Was a huge pass. Now, this product is a huge fucking bummer, because in terms of functionality, it performs really, really well. This is the Judy doll mattifying makeup base. So in terms of keeping a matte and smooth base, it does work really well. The huge downside of this, that I think is a huge difference between East turn standards of beauty and western standards of beauty, is that it leaves the craziest whitening kind of tint to your skin. Now, I can see how this is appealing in eastern countries, right? Because, like, a very fair, fair complexion is seen as really beautiful there. But here, I don’t want things making you look even paler. If you are this fair, light shade, and you’re not looking for a tinted moisturizer, but you want something to even out your skin, this could be a great product for you. But I bought this as a. Is it mattifying? Absolutely. Do I like this kind of, like, whitening lightning effect on my skin? No. I feel like I was being punked by this product. This is the Revlon Colorstay Grip 16 hour Matte Primer. Is it matte? Absolutely. But when something tells me grip, I expect it to have a grip. Is that an unfair expectation of me? Is that wild for me to think that it’s gonna grip? This performs is just kind of like a blurring or a blotting lotion. There’s a lot of primers out there. There’s a Couple from Smashbox, I believe that goes on like Lotion E and blends soft and blurred and matte and like. Okay, fine, whatever. Thing is 1. While it’s matte at the beginning, in about two hours the mattness kind of goes away. It’s not super effective. 2. Why is it called grip? 2 brow products? This isn’t necessarily a shit, just not my preference. It did work relatively well. This is the Essence Brow Lifting Gel Set. Extreme hold with brush. I do love that it comes with a brush. I don’t think this is the worst thing in the world. Just for my preference though. I need my brow products to dry down. I have a cat. My cat’s fur will stick. And the second brow product I didn’t like is from Lottie London. This is the Mega Brow Brow Glaze, Lash and Brow Gel absolutely did nothing. I love the size of the brush. You might as well put water in your brows. That’s how much this stuff and last shit of the month. This is the Kojindo Moisture Fit Concealer. Now, I did buy the Kojindo Aqua Luminous whatever foundation, and this was a free gift with it. When I see moisture Fit concealer, to me, you’re gonna be creamy, you’re gonna be hydrating. This is the most rank. First of all, I hate how tiny that doe foot is. This is one of the most matte concealers I have ever tried. I mean, I guess it’s Kind of a slave for like, spot concealing. But I just don’t understand if you’re gonna say Moisture Fit and you are one of the most matte concealers ever. Like, it’s more matte than the Huda Beauty Fill filter, which I absolutely love. It’s like super drying and it looked so creepy under my eyes. It emphasized and satin wrinkle that I didn’t even realize were there. And it’s just overall like, change the name, make this a matte fit concealer, and then maybe you would be good. But like, moisture fit, where. Where is the moisture? Alright, that is everything for part two of August shit. Make sure you come back for part three where we’re gonna be talking about non beauty hit. We talking about TV, fragrance, skincare, all that fun stuff. So make sure you hit that follow button and come back for part three.
