Proposing Amendments: A Discussion on Parliamentary Leadership Election Reforms

I know the principles. I have not grasped his amendment because I haven’t read it. He has not, er, given it out. I have been away for a record, for the record, and I’ve only been reading in on social media and following, so reading some, of course, newspapers that he’s proposing a Bill along some lines from what I read, the same of which I have attempted in the past. That was 2014 to bring 14. No, no, no, no. It was much later than that. 2018. Yes, 2018. 2018. I did bring, for me, I brought an amendment for him. He’s proposing. I did, uh, bring an amendment in the administration of Parliament’s Act, which didn’t succeed. So, I, from what I have been reading is that he proposes an election for, to be conducted for a leader of the opposition amongst opposition parties in Parliament. My proposal, I don’t know, I hope it’s along the same line, was that the party with the leading majority in the opposition would propose three names out of which the entire membership of the opposition in parliament would conduct a vote.
