Nostalgia and Brilliance: Reflecting on the Perfect Sequel

Holy smokes. Wow. That has gotta be the best freaking sequel I have ever seen. And I am not just saying that. The way they gave homage to the original, it was just done so perfectly. There was so much nostalgia, so much original cinematography, old school imagery. That is so nostalgic of part one. Every single time we saw a new character, every single time we got the introduction of one of the characters, it was glorious. It was such a moment. And I just love how well they Carla part 1 moments and nostalgia, but really gave part 2 its own legs. I’ve never seen a sequel done this well, especially after it’s been so many years. Sorry, that’s the chicken tenders. It doesn’t take anything away from the original how well the storyline was set out. There is a whole new storyline that fits like a perfect puzzle with part one. Why the hell didn’t they make this movie sooner? And I’ll tell you why. Because Jenna Ortega wasn’t born yet. She literally is the missing piece of the puzzle. The storyline will blow you away. Winona Ryder’s facials deliver. Missus deeds. She is an icon. Michael Keaton, he’s just freaking brilliant. I am blown away. Clearly you can see that the juice is loose. It’s showtime. I think I’m in love with Bob.
