Girlhood First: A Journey Through Sports Bras, Nails, and Celebrity Crushes with Jordan Chiles

I know a lot of you like the Zac Efron, but, no, I was a Corbin Bleu type of girl. Hey, there. This is Jordan Chiles, and this is Glamour’s girlhood first. The first sport I ever played was T ball, and I’m pretty sure we were called the Pink Pony Princesses. So Chapel Road, that’s where I got my nickname, actually. Chick. Um. I look like Chicken Little from the movie. I loved hitting a ball, but I did not like being in the outfield. So the first time I got my nails done, I was probably really little. I was spoiled. So I probably got my nails done at, like, six or something like that. Who knows? I get my nails done long because for me, it doesn’t ruin anything. It only helps me because I don’t want to break a nail, so it helps me with the technique, especially on bars, so I have to do it right so I don’t break a nail. Oh. Describing my first time shopping for a sports bra. I have a small chest in general, so I was walking through the mall with my mom, and I went to justice. I picked the matching sets that you get with, like, your cami tees, and I was like, okay, this is the one that I want. So it was really cool. My first sports hero would probably be Shawn Johnson. At the time, during the 2008 Olympics, I really looked up to Her, because I felt like we had the same build, and I am she. She has conquered so many things throughout her gymnastics career. The first makeup product I think I bought, you know those little flip phones that you have the lip gloss and, you know, the eyeshadows in? I probably went to go buy one of those. My first celebrity crush was actually Corbin Bleu from High School Musical, if anybody knows who that is. Y’all know, during the High School Musical days, this dude was really fine in my eyes. I know a lot of you like the Zac Efron, but, no, I was a Corbin Bleu’s type of girl. The first time I stood up for myself, I actually got in trouble because they didn’t believe me. I was around, I want to say, like, 10 or 11 years old, and me and my. This girl, we’re playing a game, and I was trying to explain to her, like, mom, this is not what happened. Like, I’m trying to explain to you. And she’s like, you know, being typical mom, like, no, like, I don’t think like. So I try to stand up for myself, but I ended up getting in trouble instead. Thank you so much, glamour. I love you guys. Bye.
