If you don’t really know what to wear this fall, then this lookbook, from what I think is one of the best men’s wear brands in the world, is basically a cheat code. So let’s talk about it. So for the last few years, Drake’s London has been at the forefront of this tailoring slash prep resurgence. In fact, I wrote as much for GQ last year. But their new what they’re calling Autumn Transitional Lookbook is, in my opinion, one of their best to date. I love just how heavily they’re leaning into the idea of a casually worn sport coat. Their games jacket is an incredibly popular style, and this season they’re doing them in a ton of different textures and patterns. Of course, you can always pick up your classic charcoal gray flannels, but I’m actually kind of more into the multicolored checks and plaids they’re doing. The outerwear in general really stands out to me as things I could get some serious mileage out of over the next few months. Like any of the beautiful raglan sleeve overcoats, or this wax jacket that you know will only get better the more you wear it. I think what I love most about this lookbook is the way that all these timeless yet eclectic fabrics come together in some truly beautiful outfits. The pops of color throughout are a really great template for how to do them in your own get UPS. Whether it’s something super simple like A red striped shirt under an olive suit or a purple cardigan with a navy jacket and some dark jeans. But to me, the styling features the right amount of a sort of throwing caution to the wind attitude when it comes to mixing prints and patterns. Because, of course, the only rule is that there are no rules. You can combine any two things that you want. Checks with Fair Isle, stripes with chevrons, plaids with pin stripes, or sometimes just letting something like a bold printed scarf be the star of the show. Now, all of that is to say, if you were looking for a brand that can provide, head to toe, well, everything you might want this season and some A1 inspiration for how to put it all together, check out this lookbook, because Drake’s has very much got you.
