Sunny LA Summer Nails: A Gel X Nail Tutorial

Everyone’s doing their fall nails, but not me. Listen, I do what I wanna do when I wanna do. No, but really, LA still has, like, two more months of summer. I love me a gel X nail. So I start by measuring the nail, and I usually have to trim the corners cause they’re a little bit too big. And then you wanna apply gel X prep to the inside of your gel X nail, and then prep your nail with the PH bond from Apre’s nails, and then the APRE nail primer. If your nails fall off, it’s because you do not prep them. Then I apply extend gel to my natural nail and the gel X tip. Think of this like the glue, and you always want to put a lot on the thumb, and then you press it down so you don’t see any bubbles. And then you flash cure it for, like, 10 seconds. Also, cure here the entire hand for, like, a minute and a half. I forgot to show you. And for some reason, my pinky nail was so long, so I just cut it, and now I’m shaping it. You always want to buff the nails, but I also like to drill around the cuticle. Sometimes there’s extra glue, and this just cleans it right up. So these are my nails before I add the polish. This is D&D Astral Spark, and it is so pretty. I’m not ready for fall colors. Okay, I’m just not gonna do it. Also, I’m going on vacation, so these are kind of like my vacation nails. So you always want to apply one coat, flash cure, and then cure your entire hand. Same thing with the second coat, flash, cure, and then cure the entire your hand. I like to cure the hand for, like, a minute and a half. I think I need to get the D&D top coat, cause this gelish top coat was just. Okay, it bubbled a little bit, but I just did one coat and then cured. And then, of course, you want to apply cuticle oil when you’re done. And this is the finished look. This has to be the most perfect orangey red.
