Black Media Fall: A Weekly Roundup of Movies, TV Shows, Music, Books, and Podcasts Featuring Black Excellence

Hi. Hello. Welcome to the first installment of our new series, Black Media Fall. If you’ve been on the page, you know we’ve been doing Black Media Summer over here. Since we’re now trending in the fall, we’re doing Black Media Fall. Only this time, this will be weekly instead of the top of the month. We’re talking movies, TV shows, music, books, podcast. So make sure you say this, you can make sure you know when it’s gonna come out. On the film front, we got Brandy coming back to the horror genre with The Front Room from A24. That’s coming up this Friday. That same day, we got Aaron Pierce leading the Netflix film Rebel Ridge. On the TV front, and also on Friday, we have the final episodes of Power Book 2 Ghost coming out on star limited series Fight Night. The Million Dollar High Story. Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, and a boatload of Black Hollywood will be coming out September 5th on Pete tapping. In the music, we got Jay Herbols album Big Swerve coming out on Friday, as well as Ella Koochi’s album the fourth. Also, I’ll mention the Doshi. Her mixtape alligator by Stone Hill came out at the Talon of August, so I’m including dissonance. On the book front, we have two releases that are out today. Taste maker from Scott Louis and Katy G. Brown Jackson’s memoir, lovely. Another OMO mentioned to reclaiming by JL Seagers is Contemporary Romance That came out on August 31st. Lastly on the podcast front, we have new podcast that came out in the last couple of weeks. We have Culturecon uncut from Imani Ali. My mutual Blake just debuted her podcast according to Blake. And last we have the shameless promo podcast hosted by roomie and Madison Brown.
