The Chicken Chronicles: A Tale of Feathers, Fur, and Food Fiascos

There were no chicken wings or drumsticks at the supermarket the other day, not even for ready money. So I bought chicken thighs and then I chopped them up so Miss P could have nice little pieces. Oh, don’t hide it! No, Miss P. Oh, she’s so silly. Spent good money on this. And into the plant pot it goes. If you’re gonna bury them, you can have the bone bit instead. She does love chewing on her bones, so I thought maybe she’d eat this one normally, once she managed to pick it up. Go on, then, don’t bury that. No, eat it. What are you doing? Luckily, I know someone who will appreciate some lovely chopped chicken. Hi, Miss P. But Miss P was not happy to see that Libby was right outside and eating her chicken. Scary. But something you might not know about Miss P is that she can be vindictive. So that food she just said no to and tried to bury in a pot? Yep, she’ll eat that now. It’s her favourite thing. Oh, now you’re eating it. Just don’t want Libby to have it, do you? I don’t actually mind if Miss P is only eating out of spite. At least she’s eating I find it quite fascinating how with boneless chicken, they just sort of slide it down. It’s not proper chewing at all. What? I knew you’d like it. You just gave it a chance. And that is what we call Jinxing it. الله اكبر then I threw an egg for Boo Boo why did it break that was for my boo boo after burying another bit of chicken behind those pots and doing a very cute sneeze Miss P went to sit on the grass but at quite a distance from her sister oh I love it when they just hang out and then it was time for our big beautiful boy tiger to make his entrance and I think he’s either sniffing horrible bird poo or a dead snail I hadn’t actually expected him to arrive yet so the bowl was not refilled come on look look I’m gonna put it in the bowl Tiger and I wasn’t looking when I recorded this but I just caught the edge of this what a cute yawn although he marched up with a lot of purpose, he didn’t seem very interested in the chicken. Maybe he was hoping it would be beef. Oh, but I’m a very nice human. Would you prefer this? Yes. Oh, you’re so sweet. You can have your egg. And then I had to speed up this bit because I wanted to show you that he took a really long, slow walk with his egg past both girls just to show off that he had it. Oh, hello again. Libby doesn’t usually give up on mousing or intimidating the foxes, but she could hear that it was dinner time, so off she went. Now, that scary Libby was out of the picture. Miss P came over to see what she could get out of that egg. But she wasn’t alone for long. Although Tiger is much better behaved these days and gets his own food rather than stealing it from the girls, he still has this instinct where he must know what other people are eating. But I think he realized pretty quickly that a broken egg was not worth getting into a fight over. Not when there’s proper dinner on offer. Although Tiger didn’t exactly agree that it was proper dinner. Not a fan of that chicken, are you? To protest his horrible chicken dinner, Tiger went over to the grass, did a big yawn, and then had a strop. You’re a good boy. Yeah. Oh, you’re a sleepy boy. Hi, Miss P. Like I said before, Miss P. Always seems to find food much tastier when she’s taking it away from someone else. And I don’t know why, but this technique really seems to work on Tiger. He gets so jealous when he sees she’s enjoying something. And Miss P. Didn’t like him sniffing around her hiding spots, either. Why is everyone so sneezy? Miss P tried to quickly get in some chicken before Tiger came to get some for himself. Now, I know that these two, well, Tiger in particular, have never been very good at sharing. But I think you will be surprised. I made this a bit faster, just so you Can see, but Tiger was very patient and he didn’t try to steal from Miss P at all, aside from maybe making her eat quickly because there was so much pressure on her. He just patiently waited until it was his turn. And I don’t know if I’ve ever pointed this out in a video before, but sometimes Tiger really loves chicken that has been pre chewed by Miss P. They’re just flavorful for him or something. Why does he always drop it? Once Tiger had started eating chicken, well, he just couldn’t stop, aside from a quick check to see if that egg had reassembled itself yet. After a couple of takeaway dinners, which is where he runs off with the food and then builds up his confidence, he was ready to eat at the bowl, which is a much more efficient way of doing things. It’s also much more fun for us because we get to hear all of his lovely chewing. Wow, that didn’t last long, did it? I gave him a little bit of bone next, knowing that he’d pick it up and take it away because I really needed to get boo boo some food. Come on, boo boo, don’t go hungry, boo boo, come on! But boo boo wouldn’t come, and she did go hungry until I closed the door. Sometimes she just doesn’t help herself. Later on, while after the girls had gone to bed, Tiger returned for a second dinner, and he Polished off all of the chicken. And I know this video is really long, but why not make it a bit longer, right? It’s worth it for all the chewing. Do you see what I mean about how the foxes just sort of swallow chicken without properly chewing it? It goes down so fast. In almost no time at all, Tiger had finished the whole bowl. Don’t worry, Tiger. There’s one more chicken piece left. Go on then. Get ready for one of my favorite fox moves. Which is the throw and catch. And finally, because he was still hanging around, some cake. No cake? Oh, baby boy, you used to love cake. Alright, can you guess which food item will be magically appearing in a moment? Of course. It was an egg. Next to that little slug. You don’t want that either. I was worried I was about to get a very, very angry tiger. Knocking on my door all night. Until I somehow found him some more chicken. But he made his choice. And I chose to run up to bed before he could demand anything else.
