The highest grossing movies of the year so far, Godzilla X Kong grossed $567 million worldwide. And we’re probably gonna get Monsterverse movies to the end of time, even if they’re not all that great. Dune Part 2 gross $711 million and it looks like we are getting a third film, maybe at the end of 2026. They’re saying Despicable Me 4 has racked up $915 million worldwide. There’s a minions craze. These movies usually crack into the 900 million dollar club with some of them making over a billion at this point. They’re printing money. Deadpool and Wolverine is at 1.26 billion dollars globally. It’s at the point now where the marketing is just revealing all the big surprise characters or cameos to really sell people on getting to that theater before it leaves. But I love this one. I’m glad to see it lighting it up at the box office. But taking the top spot is Inside Out 2, which is currently at $1.66 billion worldwide. It is a top 10 highest grossing film ever made. Hats off to inside Out 2. It’s a real home run for Pixar. I’d be shocked if they don’t green light inside out 3 sometime soon.
