Who is this 5 11 Chinese Italian Hooper that declared for the overtime elite draft? This is Wei Lun Zhao, and he has been blowing scouts away with his shooting and all around game since arriving at OTE. Wei Xiao is of Chinese descent but grew up in Italy and he’s already played professional basketball for a couple years over there. Wei also recently competed for the Chinese national team in the U19 World Cup. His best performance was against Canada where he dropped 25 points. So it should be no surprise that way is coming into the OTE draft as one of the most coveted players. His most impressive skill set is his shooting. Way already has some people inside OTE. He’s saying certain aspects of his game remind them of Steph Curry, but Wei says he likes to study a lot of different undersized guards like Chris Paul and TJ Shorts.
