Sound Processing for Remixing: Boosting a Distorted Sub with Sausage Fattener and Layered White Noise

here’s how I processed this sound into this one in my remix to boost up basically just a sample that I found that’s a distorted sub the most important thing that I always say to producers is when you are processing you have to think about what you want it to sound like after it’s done but over time you start to learn how you want things to sound and then that’s how you get the sound you want it’s a very very weird concept so first for the sound I actually use a sausage fattener to fatten it up again then this EQ at the bottom is really really aggressive in the high end then I added a reverb just to the high end just to give it a little bit of space and that metallic feeling then I decided hey let’s just push the shit out of it with the limiter added some overdrive here at the bottom and basically compress it at the end with a soft clipper and I also layered the sound with a white noise hiss just giving some of that texture in the top end
