Gen X Takeover Weekend in Nashville: Spilling the Tea on the Unforgettable Event

Okay, we’re doing it. We’re gonna spill the tea y’all been asking. Okay, give us the real tea about the Gen X Takeover weekend in Nashville. Well, first of all, I just got home. Um, I’m losing my voice because I was doing so much smiling, laughing, and talking the whole weekend long, and I think I’m coming down from an adrenaline high. Yo, when you are right up here and everything was just so exciting. And now that I’m back to reality, it’s like it’s all draining out of my body, and I need a good nap and a massage. But let’s get down to the tea. Let’s get down to the brass tacks. First of all, I did feel like it was. It had that whole 80s, um, house party vibe. Like, there wasn’t a time that I felt, like, uncomfortable. Nothing. Right. And if your excuse for not going was, well, I didn’t want to go by myself, well, I promise you, you may go by yourself, but you’re gonna leave with friends. if you can’t find somebody that has something in common with you in a group full of people that all lived the same childhood, I don’t know. I don’t know what to tell you. So let’s first talk about. Let’s first talk about the creators, the dad bod veteran John. First of all, I was really kind of hoping the whole entire night he would talk to me in a British accent. Little disappointed about that. But John is very, super down to earth. He definitely can dish it and take it. So the last thing I’m gonna say to John, to my fellow veteran, is, go, Air Force. Um, I got the final say with that last word right here. And then when it comes to Nick the professor, first of all, that man does a mean karaoke. I am not a singer. You will never see me singing. Uh, except for now when I’m dishing the tea. And he is a mean karaoke. I. I definitely want to be invited to the barbecue. And him and his wife make an awesome team. Like, when you just think of the word jolly, that’s who. Who comes to mind. All right, now, if. If feisty can be put in a height, that height would be 5 foot 1, and that would be Kelly Manno. How do I know her height? Because I’m 5 foot 2, and I rarely meet anybody that’s shorter than me. So that sums her up and. And just the little play ball, right? Everything you see on the videos. All right, now let’s go to slim sharing. Slim sharing. Don’t be fooled by the hard edge exterior that you see on her video, because I fully believe that she’s more likely to come up and hug you than she is to challenge you to a fight after school. All right, now, don’t get it twisted. If you’re talking Shit, I’ll throw punching out of the. Out of the question. You know what I mean? Um, but on a personal note, I will say I really had a good time. But I want to say to Slim, Sherry, and her wife, I’m. I literally can’t time. I’m probably having a mini stroke right now. While we’re talking to Sherry and Krista, I want to personally thank you for making me and Beth feel as welcome as you did from the moment we showed up at your Airbnb on Saturday. Um, anybody gets nervous when they’re meeting somebody for the first time. Yeah. You don’t know if the vibes are right. I will definitely say you and your wife pass the vibe check. I felt so comfortable. I felt like I had known you for years. And that is something that makes me feel truly lucky to be able to call you a friend. Um, she’s very thoughtful, both her and her wife, even to the point of remembering to bring some of her wholesome hippie. Did y’all know that she has wholesome hippie line? Didn’t know this, but she had the foresight to think that a lot of the people that were coming to this event, especially to her house, might be in my age bracket, 52. And we just might be coming with some aches and pains, which I did and did not come prepared. And so she made sure that she brought me some of her products. That definitely helped. Um, yo, my issues, my back pain, my issues. So I’ll be checking into that a lot more. And I appreciate your foresight and your thoughtfulness. But if you have not gone to one, they’re gonna be touring y’all. If you didn’t get a chance to go to Nashville, go follow these four creators, which I have tagged down below. Wait, you should already be. I’m sure I don’t even have to tell you that there are Gen X reps. I know that you’re already following them. But just in case you forgot, cause we all get a little brain fog every now and then. All over and down there, they’ll let you know when the next events gonna be. I think it’s ST. Louis, Missouri. But if you miss this one, you definitely gotta make the next one, because you won’t regret it.
