Where you’re going wrong when you promote your song on social media is you’re asking something of the viewer before they even have loyalty to you as an artist. You have to make the act of pre saving actually worth the viewer’s time, and this is exactly how you’re gonna do that. You’re not gonna mention the song, what it’s called, or if it’s released or not in any of your social media videos. What this does is builds up intrigue and mystery around the song. So if the song is good and it resonates with the audience, people will inevitably comment and ask, what is this song called? Is This Song Released? Is this song on Spotify? What you’re gonna do is reply to all of those comments saying, hey, the song isn’t out on Spotify yet, but you can listen to the full song early at the link in my bio. And instead of sending people to your basic run of the mill pre save link, you’re gonna set up a social unlock campaign on a website called tone den dot Io. Through this social unlock, they’re getting access to the full song before it’s released through a private Soundcloud link in exchange for following you on Spotify. Psychological flip is so powerful in marketing because now the viewer feels like you’ve given something to them instead of asking something of them. Make sure you save this video, try this technique out in your next release campaign, and Then come back here and ask me any questions. I’ll answer all of them in the comments.
