Navigating Life’s Challenges with Gratitude and Resilience: A Message of Hope

Welcome to my interpretation of the daily inspiration. I’m out here in a parking lot, and I just wanted to kind of share with you a couple of things, man. Uh, anytime I do the daily inspiration, I always think about, is there anything I could say to maybe spark something in somebody to push themselves or maybe help them get through something? And then sometimes when I say things, I worry about people nitpicking it apart and being like, oh, well, this and this and this and. And so I’m just gonna speak freely. Everything might not resonate with everybody. I’m just gonna talk a little bit. Uh, one of the things that I Learned in prison in particular is when I went to prison young, I remember going to lockdown and thinking the world was over and hated being alive. And I was in a lot of pain, and I was crying, and. And it was just sad, man. I wasn’t even fully developed mentally, man. I was in there fighting for my manhood, fighting for my respect, and just miserable, not even really understanding what I was facing, and. And I didn’t want to be around no more. It was too much. And then for some way, somehow, I got through it. When I got through it, I was like, oh, wow, life’s better. So. And then guess what? About a year and a half later, I went through something again. I went way down here, and. I was like, oh, my god, life’s horrible. I don’t wanna be here. I caught new charges in prison. Now I’m in a county jail facing new charges. It was just more time, I mean, and it was just horrible. I didn’t wanna be around no more. Somehow, some way, I got through it. Around that third time that I went through something major in my life, I just stopped myself from doing this. Oh, life’s horrible. I don’t want to be here no more. And I said, you just got to get through it, Olette. Like I already knew the answer. You just got to get through it. See, the thing is, this, for me, what I realized is I just had to get through the. Whatever problem I’m going through, I just gotta get through it. And I knew that if I get through it, it’s gonna be better on the other end. And why is it gonna be better? Well, I Learned from it. Um, I’m. I’m. You know, I just know that if I get through it. So when I’m going through a problem, I just gotta keep pushing, right? Keep walking, keep working. And it’s. It’s. It’s continuously been true my entire life, man. And every time I navigate an. An obstacle, life gets better and better. So it almost gets to the point where you’re like, you embrace it, because you know these struggles are gonna make you better if you choose to learn. And apply the knowledge that you Learned. So I don’t know what your life has look like and, and there are rare circumstances, right, where somebody says, well, I got cancer, right? And god forbid, my, my uncle, he’s dealing with that right now and, you know, he has incurable cancer, so he’s not gonna get through it. But what I’m referring to is ninety 8% of the situations that we face. And for those few instances, my heart goes out to those people. And if anything, I wish they would give us advice. I would sit and listen and, and just be so grateful for their input. Because I cannot imagine, I can’t imagine what my uncle’s going through, and I can’t imagine what a lot of people are facing. But for most of us, those situations that we’re going through, we just gotta get through it, man. It’s gonna get better on the other end, but you gotta get through it. And when you go through something, you can’t freak out every time. This is the end and I don’t wanna be here. This is horrible. Life is hard, you gotta understand that. But if you use your knowledge and you, and you make better decisions, life gets better, it gets easier. Once you learn how to do something, you, it gets better and better. So, you know, start learning from, from your mistakes. Start learning. And apply the knowledge that it was gained through this Stuff. Do those trials and tribulations. Um, another huge thing is, I can never say this enough, and I, I believe that. It’s huge. It’s so huge. Gratitude, man. Um, I Learned how to be happy in a prison cell. I Learned how to be happy living in a school bus. I literally documented it, smiled, woke up, was working towards living a better life. And, um, and it all, it’s all because of gratitude. I was just grateful. I was grateful. I didn’t get caught up in, in comparing. I just, I was focused on living. So, you know, um, if you’re, if you’re angry or mad at the world, I wonder where your gratitude’s at. I really do. I’m not saying you don’t have any, but I don’t know if it’s on the forefront of your mind. Uh, and if you don’t like where you’re at in life, this leads to another thing. You can change it, bro. We all are capable of doing most anything. We really are. Um, especially in today’s world. You can literally, like, you can make money on social media for views. For views right now. And then some people say, well, I don’t wanna be on social media. Okay, we’ll go to school. Well, I can’t go to school. Okay, well, start a business. Well, I don’t know what business to start. Well, damn, you got an answer for every reason why you can’t get to the next level, so. I don’t know what to tell you. You don’t want to do this. You don’t know how to do this. You ain’t got time to do this. Well, what it was then what then? Then what? Then you need to learn how to live within your means. You need to learn how to be grateful. You need to learn how to downsize. Because guess what? Life ain’t fair. And you, we just don’t get to say, well, I want it to be different. Well, there’s a price to pay. See, a lot of us wanna have this or have that, but we don’t wanna pay the price for it. So somewhere in our mind, we said we want something, and we didn’t associate a cost to it. We want a great relationship, but we don’t want to go to counseling. We don’t want to change ourselves. We want to lose weight, but we don’t want to sacrifice. We don’t want. We don’t want this, you know? So. So the thing is this. There are price to pay. And again, there are rare instances where people can’t do things, of people can’t. They don’t have a say so. And for those people, my heart goes out to them. For those people, I would love to talk and get advice from them, but for 98% of us, everything is possible. So you just have to. You just have to be willing to either get out of your comfort zone, learn, find a Way to make time. But it’s all possible. And. And. And. And. And yes, you might fail. It’s a risk. It’s a risk. You might fail. But I always say this. I remember when I was in prison, I told my sister this. I’m not scared to lose the race. I’m just scared to not run it. And why am I scared to not run it? Well, I’m scared to not run it because that means that I didn’t give it my best. I didn’t try. I don’t mind failing. Good. Good lord. I don’t mind failing. I’ve lost a lot of money in investments. I’ve, um. I lost a lot of friends standing on my morals. I don’t mind going against the grain. But what I do mind is not trying to live my best, not standing up for what I believe in for myself. And, um, you know, and I feel like. I feel like we all are capable of living an amazing life. But an amazing life takes a lot of work. It really does. I know. Sometimes we think people are living an amazing life, and they’re not working for that amazing life. In their brain, people think that we’re like, man, these people don’t even work for their amazing life. Um. And. And maybe that’s where the disconnect is. So then you’re not living an amazing life. So now you’re angry because you think somebody else is living an amazing life and they’re not working. For it. So you feel like, man, they’re living an amazing life, and they ain’t working for it, but it would, you know. But anybody that’s living an amazing life is working for it. Um, same with relationships, mental health. People work for their happiness, man. I believe that. And. And. And again, there’s those rare, rare instances. The same thing with all that, you know? So this is. This is for the majority of us, us normal people, about 98% of us. I hope y’all have a fantastic night. I love y’all, man. I will rise, and you will, too. And I believe that. I’mma see you at the top.
