Buying a New Car in the Military: A Guide for New Adulting Soldiers

How do you buy a new car in the military? You are new to adulting, you don’t know what you’re doing and you want to know when you get to your first base how to buy a new car. Let me tell you. Okay, first things first. I’m the realest, right? Get Navy, Federal and or USA. Navy, Federal or USA and the process will be quick. Uh, freaking car dealerships hate them. Why? Let me tell you. So you can get a pre approved loan. What is a pre approved loan, Joe? Well, let me tell you. Why do I say these things? Okay, so, um, a pre approved loan. Basically you can, you can go on the app and you can pick loans and you’ll pick auto loan. Then they’re gonna pick apply and then you put in. They’re gonna ask for the amount you want. Say, if first off look for the car that you want. And range is probably gonna range from 10, 15,000 dollars, right? So try to go for the car is 10,000 dollars, try to go for a 13,000 dollar loan. If it’s for freaking 15,000, go for 18,000 dollar loan. But don’t let it be too much. Don’t let it be too much. Okay, so then you apply. Basically your military, they know that you have the money that they know you’re gonna pay. They know exactly how much you get paid based on your, um, your income. So they go say Okay, cool. We’ll approve you if it’s for 10,000, we’ll approve you for this 13,000. They will send a pre approved check to your house. Yes. They send you an actual check to your house or to your dorm room, and you pick it up and you take that check to the dealership, and you can go buy that car just like that. You can go to buy the car just like that. And then what happens, Joe? After you go through the process, you’re gonna be at the dealership for a really long time. But after you go through the process, right, they, um. That. That loan. That loan is gonna show up on your. Your bank account. It’s gonna show up on your bank account.
