Exploring the Reality of Depression in Gen Z and the Challenges of Socioeconomic Disparities: A Conversation on Elden Ring, Success, and Systemic Resistance

Why is Gen Z so depressed? You ever play Elden Ring ? Yes I have the bosses were really hard Imagine all the bosses in Elden Ring teamed up and you had to fight them all at once as soon as you started the game That’s crazy Gen Z knows they’re trapped in a system that is built against them and they’re very disadvantaged I too was disadvantaged My house cost me four grapes I’m tired of excuses shouldn’t they earn it like I did? Yes 1 in 100 people find a way out but what about the rest of the 99? You mean the 99 that didn’t even try? No other people do try but not everybody’s going to make it out Sounds like a personal problem people need to be grateful for what they have I agree with that you should be happy with what you have but some people don’t have enough They’re lazy Look I grew up in a poor mansion I had nothing and I still made it i understand that but you’re thinking from a single mindset If you make it become a millionaire there’s 99 people behind you that did not make it And maybe four of them gets close- but the rest of that 95 is struggling sounds like a bunch of suckers and losers just kidding I don’t think they want it bad enough that’s a decent argument but when the odds are obviously stacked against them are stacked in the favor of richer people Then they should work harder and then work harder and then work harder It’s the fact of having to face a constant resistance every single day Give me one example of resistances rich people are creating for poor people They’re just trying to make a living What about grocery prices? They need to feed their family Okay what about the companies getting caught price gouging? How else are they supposed to make a profit? I’m just saying it makes sense It’s a crappy economy and everyone’s just trying to make the best of it but it seems like rich people are only in favor of getting more rich it’s too late Project 2025 Good luck being depressed
