Next time I painted this watercolor bird and procreate, I drew out a sketch and then in the layer underneath that sketch, I outlined it and filled it in and I created a clipping mask on top of that solid layer. Then I’m gonna start blocking in colors, kind of experimenting with where I want things to go. And this is gonna set the groundwork for the detail we’re gonna have later. And I’m gonna create a new clipping mask layer. And here’s where I’m going to add in detail. I’m working at small areas at a time for this, creating new layers for anything I want to stand out, like the eye. We’re gonna use pretty much all the brushes in the pack for this piece to get a lot of variation and texture and swashiness. If you want me to go into more detail about any of the techniques I use with these brushes, definitely comment. What do you think?
