Hi, I’m Maria Perez, and I’m a paleontologist, a fossil prepareter, to be exact. I spend my time cleaning away dirt from ancient fossils. And right now, I’m working on the boat of a 270 million year old animal that lived long before the dinosaurs. You can see that I’ve already uncovered parts of the backbone, the lake and even the ribs.
