Did you know you can stay at hotels for 100% free? I recently stayed at a hotel and I’m going to show you exactly how I did it, what I said, who I contacted. Let’s go. So first of all, if you don’t know who I am, my name is Leah Kanour. I’m an actress and comedian. So I was doing shows in Phoenix, Arizona. So I did a little Google search, looked up hotels in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Then I found the contact email. Usually it’s like, I don’t know, info at hotel name or concierge ad hotel name. It’s pretty easy to find. You just go to the website of the hotel and then find their contact information. Then you are going to send this exact email. I blocked out some information on this, but you’re gonna put the subject as your name and then the name of the hotel and maybe the city and influencer stay. You’re gonna tell them who you are, why you’re coming to their hotel, what you would like in exchange for the content, and then a little bit about your followers, what you post and what they can expect from this collaboration.
Now, after you send this to a bunch of hotels, you have to remember it’s a numbers game. You probably won’t hear back from most of these people, but all you really need is one byte. Also, I know some people will point out, yeah, but you have 127,000 followers. Yes, I’m sure that does help. But hotels need content from all kinds of people, whether you’re a micro influencer or you have a lot of followers or if you are just good at making content, show the hotel what you have made in the past and then they’ll be excited to have you come and make content for them.
So then I heard back from the hotel, they were down. I was honestly pleasantly surprised how easy it was. So then I responded and told them what they can expect. You wanna make them feel safe and excited about the collaboration because you both should be getting some thing out of it. A really important tip to this is always be grateful and friendly. Make it really easy to work with you. Also ask them what specifically you want them to focus on. So then they’re extra excited and they feel like they’re featuring something that they’ve been wanting to show to people online. A major tip, especially if you are a woman traveling alone, I highly recommend do not post or send your content until after you have left the hotel. So I sent them my content after I left. I was very clear about what I was going to send to them. And I gave them a bunch of different options. Cuz again, I wanted them just to feel really good about this partnership. So if I ever come back to that same city, I can stay there again and make more content and stay there for free.
