Navigating Your AP Scores: What to Do With Your Results

AP scores have been released. Here’s a comprehensive guide for what to do with your scores. If you got 5, congratulations. You will definitely send the score to colleges. Nothing else to worry about. If you got 4, same thing. You will definitely send these scores to colleges. Good job scores of 5 and 4 mean you will most likely earn college credit. If you got a 3, don’t worry, because for some reason, everyone worries about threes. Plenty of colleges still accept threes for college credit. So if you’re applying to those, report your score. Now, if you’re applying to top schools, a 3 won’t help you, but also won’t hurt you. So my advice is reported if you want, but if you got a 3 on a subject that’s important for your future major, maybe don’t report it now. Scores of 2 and 1 mean you will not earn college credit and you should not report them on the Common App. But it’s important to note that AP scores won’t make or break your acceptance. They’re a small part of your academic profile, and your GPA and activities are way more important. So relax.

If you pass, congratulations. And if you didn’t, don’t worry about it too much. Mod the mentor is very proud of all of you. Why am I so cringe? Follow for more.
