Did you know there’s a way that you can see the statue of Liberty for free. I’m gonna show you how. All you have to do is hop on the Staten Island Ferry. This ferry departs from Whitehall Terminal in Manhattan. When you walk up to the terminal, you’re gonna see people trying to sell you boat tours. Just keep going. I promise you this boat is free. I recommend going 20 minutes earlier so you can queue into the line and make sure once you get on the boat, you stand on the right hand side. Doing this is going to give you the best views of the statue of Liberty from the water. I couldn’t believe how big this boat actually was. There was a lot of people on this boat, but it didn’t feel like it at all once you get off the boat, you just hop on the next ferry that takes you right back to Manhattan. This is my favorite budget travel tip I’ve ever gotten. Not much is free these days, but this boat tour is. See you next time.
