Prioritizing My Health: Embarking on a Personal Wellness Journey

I am officially in my working on me era, and I’m really excited to share with you guys. I’m doing a couple of things just to kind of focus on myself some. I feel like in those early stages of motherhood, you can get so lost in who you are as a mom that you kind of forget who you are as a person and your whole life revolves around what you’re doing for your kids, but you don’t ever do anything for yourself. So I’m trying to put my priorities, like in the right order. And one thing that I know that I need to do to make myself feel better is focused on my health. So I’m gonna start by doing a screening. I’m gonna get my cholesterol levels, my cortisol levels, my hormone levels. I’m doing it all through Livewall Clinic. We’ve partnering together and they are going to run all of my tests. I’ve already met with my health coach and with my doctor. They do this program for anybody. If y’all want to go and see what it’s about, they do a free health coach call as like the first meeting and you can just tell them that you found them on my TikTok and that you wanna just see what the programs about. There’s no commitment necessary from that meeting, but you can just see what it’s about.

But I’m excited for it because like I said, I’ve had three pregnancies in the last five years and I really wanna check my hormone levels. Now. When I met with the doctor yesterday, we talked about like past family history too. And just from what we talked about, she was like, okay, I’m also gonna check your heart levels and certain other levels to see if you’re at risk for this one disease or something like that. Just because I was telling her about my mom’s family history or medical history, my dad’s medical history and everything like that. And it triggered her to go check for more things. So I think they do a standard 90 something bio markers whenever they check your levels, but they’ll add certain things if they notice that you need them. So I’m planning on getting my levels checked this week. I’m gonna go get my blood work done. They find a blood work place near you. You just walk in, get it done, and then you do an in depth review of everything that your blood work showed whenever you get done with that. So I think it’s gonna be super informative. And once we get done with it all, the health coach is gonna help me. Oh, there’s LCK. Anyway, the health coach is gonna help me come up with a meal plan. Like if I’m low in something, they may say I need to eat more fish. Or if I’m high and something, okay, let’s read me. Or I don’t really know what the exacts are gonna be yet, but they’re gonna help me through all of it. And I’m just so excited for it. I’m excited to focus on my body and my health and kind of gain back some sense of normalcy. So y’all wish me luck and y’all go try it out if you wanna do it with me. Bye.
