Hi, my name is such and such. I’m looking to join Navy Federal. My grandfather was in the army. He passed away. I don’t have a lot of information on him, but I do have his name and date of birth. Is there any additional information that you need for me so I can open an account today? Now, mind you, they not even go ask you to name in database. You just say that, you know, the rep may ask you like, do you know what branch or yada? Just be like, no, all I know is that he was in the army. If you need any other information, I can contact my grandmother to see if she’s still has it. Again, you ain’t gonna have to do all that now. The reason I say call and do it, and I try to go in person, because the person over the phone has to manually push your application through. So once you tell them that, they’re gonna ask you a couple of questions, they gonna get all your information. And I promise you all, just like that person over the phone, is gonna open your Navy federal account right on spot. Literally all you need is $5 to pay the membership fee.
Now, depending on the rep, cuz I heard a couple of people say this, it be the ones that take their job too serious and y’all know what I’m talking about. They’ll be like, okay, well, we may contact you in the future after we reviewing your account to ask you for more information, yada, yada, yada.
