Radical Optimism: The Soundtrack to a Carefree Summer

Know, we’re all about having a brat summer this year, but is anyone else having a radically optimistic summer as summer is continuing on and it’s getting hotter and hotter by the day, it feels I and gravitating more and more towards do Elipa’s radical optimism.

This is, no question about it, a summer album. It really makes me think if the name of this album was something more summary, if it was promoted as a summer record to enjoy and throw on and relax and be careless to maybe it would have connected better with the general public. But in this moment right now, I cannot stop listening to end of an era, anything for love. Even that was one that is not getting nearly enough tension because it’s like the quirky, oddball little sister of the album. But it’s really good. Maria is another one of those that plays into like, the summer and the Spanish element of it all. I just feel like because there was so much new music that came out around the same time that Radical optimism did, a lot of those albums didn’t really get their fair chance to like sink in and really make an impact. And right now is the time to feel the impact of radical album. So if it’s one of those albums that you kind of passed off to the side when it first dropped, I highly encourage you, take the 35,40 minutes that this album runs. Go outside, enjoy the sun, go in the pull, listen to it from your speakers and maybe you’ll get it.
