Unlocking Success in Interviews: Insights from a Chief People Officer

Shop seekers, here’s a word of advice from a chief people officer at an ad tech company here in New York. And no, that’s not me, but I hosted a call with this person last night for some of my clients. And here’s one of the main takeaways that I want you to remember.

She said that when it comes to interviewing, we need to stop overthinking things. She said that when they’re interviewing, they’re trying to figure out, can you add something new and unique to the team? And can they connect with you as a person? That is the heart of it. So in order for you to do this successfully, you have to figure out what makes you unique and show up authentically and be personable so they can actually connect with you. He is keep it simple and don’t over complicate it.

This week in 9 to thrive, my weekly newsletter, I’m gonna be sharing all of my takeaways from this conversation to support you as you look for a role in 20, be 24.
