Speed Season: Bringing NASCAR Excitement to All Fans, Especially Black Audiences

Y’all know I grew up in Daytona Beach, the home of NASCAR, and Speed Season is NASCAR’s approach to attract more black fans to the sport. Speed Season is a tailgating event aimed towards giving black race fans the complete NASCAR experience, including a garage tour, which I got from Saints Running Back Alvin Kamara in Nashville. And while their goal is to expand the diversity of the audience, this event is open to everybody. They have a spacious setup with a two-story trailer, the party’s led by a DJ, you can indulge in free food from local vendors. Excuse my big backtivity right here, but this thing was bussin’. Help yourself at one of the bars and enjoy being right on top of the race action. Speed Season has been held at racetracks in Atlanta, Chicago, Nashville, and Richmond, and hopefully I can host a Speed Season event at the Daytona 500, my home track in the near future. Let me know in the comments if you would go to a Speed Season event at NASCAR. I’ve already been to two, and I’m ready for another.
