I’m afraid we’re in a world of hurt for 2028 Olympics because we don’t have a new big three ready to be the successor. So I know LeBron being in both of the last two, three big threes, legendary. They made it cool again to buy in and hopefully the future generations buy in and the stars show up of tomorrow. Rest of the world’s fully called up now. Continuity, team chemistry, all that. This was our team in the 2021 Olympics. We can’t repeat this again. Kelton Johnson, Jeremy Grant, Chris Middleton, Zach Levine. We’re in trouble without our Avengers. 2028 has to be a major rebuilding year. Look how old the top of this roster is. I really think these are the only five guys we could possibly bring back. I don’t think AD at 35. I mean, his name’s Street Close already. Here’s the only five we bring back. I think Kerr’s retiring, so Tatum will be fine. I said rebuilding year, right? Remember 2008, the team behind me, it was Kobe and then LeBron, Mello, Wade, Bosch, all the guys from the 2003 draft class. It’s gonna be Ant Booker, Tatum, and I think they’re gonna have to lead a bunch of guys from the 2022, 2023, 24, maybe even 25 draft class, Cooper, Flag. Looks like an all-star voting from last year. We don’t have a good crop to choose from in 2028. In red, those are the old guys. I’ll be too old in 2028. In gray, they’re not American. They wouldn’t play for Team USA. If we’re replacing bigs, like for 2028, Chet, look how quick we get down to Kuzma. We really need the young bucks from the 23, 22, 24 NBA draft classes to be coming, all right? With these five locks, I think these are the next guys who are gonna be the backups. I think we have Brandon Miller, 3 and D guy, Long backing up Booker. I don’t know who our guards are gonna be. I think Brunson scoring off the bench will be behind Halliburton. Chet was like the top big we have all-star voting-wise. Paolo, he was pretty good. He’s rising star, USA select team. Flag was good on the select team. We’re gonna need two more guards that are like 3 and D type guys in that Derek White, Drew Holliday mold. I don’t know who they’re gonna be. I really think they’re gonna have to come from this list. I don’t think they’re currently in the NBA. I think they have to be. These guys better turn out to be stars. That’s all I got to say. Because as it stands now, I don’t think we have a team we can build in 2028 that can compete with France and these other teams. I don’t know if existing NBA stars like Ja and Zion are the answer. Based on this, I think we need to expect this next generation to be the one to take over in 2028.
