This gymnast has to give her medal back because her appeal was four seconds too late. Initially Romanian gymnast Anna Barbosu was given third place in the four final until she looked up at the scoreboard to see Jordan Childs had been bumped up from fifth. The American gymnast coach had successfully appealed the difficulty of her routine, but now officials are saying it was submitted too late, like four seconds too late. Barbosu and her team lodged a review with the CAS which prompted this latest change. But now US officials are pushing back saying there is video evidence that they made the one minute cutoff. These photos were taken moments after it was announced Childs had placed third. Now days later it looks like Anna Barbosu will get the bronze medal after all and nobody knows how to feel. People were already calling this a heartbreaking situation and now it is far from over.
