James 2, verse 18 through 26, with proof your faith alone doctrine is very inaccurate. So let’s go over, this is James, Chapter 2, verse 18.
But someone will say, you have faith and I have works. Show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe there is one God. You do? Well, even demons believe and tremble.
But do you not know, a foolish man, that faith without works is dead. Was not Abraham, our father, justified by works when he offered Isaac, his son, on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works? And by works faith was made perfect and the scripture was fulfilled, which has Abraham believed god and it was accounted to him for righteousness and he was called the friend of god. You see then that a man is justified by works and not by faith only. Likewise, why not, right, have the harlot also justified by her works when she received messages and sent them out another way?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. So let’s talk about this. See, this is the deal. The problem is not the Bible. It’s the interpretation of the Bible that’s the problem. Immediately, you want to come out and say that you’re, you don’t have salvation by faith alone.
That is the false doctrine, because you’re teaching a doctrine of works. But let’s go further. Your problem, you’re not far off. You’re close. Cuz what you’re not understanding is that when you connect to Jesus as the true vine, you bear fruit, a product of a real relationship to Jesus.
It’s factual. You produce fruit. The product of the fruit is not you pursuing it. The product is you pursuing Jesus, having faith in Jesus. And when you connect to that vine, fruit comes even that first you would take out of context because you would say, oh, but it said the vines that don’t produce fruit will be cut off and burned in the fire.
See, you’re that kind of person. The truth is that’s called an unbeliever. That’s not a believer in Jesus. There were many followers of Jesus. That does not make them a believer in Jesus. Was Judas a believer in Jesus? No, he was a follower of Jesus. Seeing Jesus’s time, there are many rabbis.
They’d come through town and people would follow them. They’d follow lots of rabbis. Jesus is just one of them. Any, as they follow them and listen to the teachings as the pathway became greater and greater, teachings became more and more, some of them would walk away. But that did not make them a believer.
Judas was not a believer in Jesus. He was a follower. In fact, let’s really take you to a whole new place.
When did all the disciples, when did all of them become believers in Jesus and not followers? Go get your scripture out and read this. So here they are at the cross. Here you have John and Mary, his mother. All of a sudden, Jesus is at the foot of the cross.
Where are the disciples? They are hiding in a room, believing they’re gonna be killed next. All of a sudden what happens? Jesus gives us life and sheds his blood on that cross, and now he’s in the tomb. All of a sudden, Mary one day goes to the tomb.
She sees the stones moved and looks in and she begins to weep. Where is my Jesus? Wait a minute. But why would she say that? Jesus told him he’s gonna go the cross. He told me he’s gonna rise. He showed them the miracle signs and wonders. See, they’re all just followers right now.
They are not believers. What happened? Mary? She looks over, thinks it’s the gardener. Cuz the last time I saw Jesus, he was so torn apart, like lions just devoured him.
She couldn’t tell us him and said, Mary, it is I, it’s Jesus. Just Jesus. She just became a believer. Now Jesus has risen. I’m a believer. And what does he tell her?
And tells a woman, by the way, which I’m sure you must love that comment. So all of a sudden, he picks a woman and he goes, go tell them I have risen.
She’s the first evangelist on purpose by Jesus picking her to go speak the truth. That puts down the doctrine. You don’t think Jesus wants to use women? But we’ll get to that another day. G. So Mary runs back. So Jesus is alive. Whoo.
They’re gonna be so excited, man. All this stuff Jesus taught us was true. We were following him, but man, we thought it was dead and gone. We thought we were gonna be murdered. They’re gonna be so excited. I can’t wait to tell him. Guys, guess what? Jesus has risen.
Did they say of course he’s risen. We knew that. No, they did not. This is what they said. Listen, we know you’re emotional. We know he misjesus us. But come on, we know you think you saw it.
So they don’t believe her and they run to the tomb. Let’s go, man. They get into the tomb. Jesus is not there. Did they go? Yeah, he’s raising. We knew it. We believed everything he said.
Yes. No, they said they’ve taken his body. When is this gonna stop? Killing him is not enough. And now his body’s gone. When are they gonna stop? They go home depressed. They go back hiding, thinking they’re gonna be killed next.
All of a sudden, Jesus comes into that room. Hey, guys, are they, do they believe. No, it’s a ghost. Jesus? Of course. Cuz I. Guys, hold on.
Bring me something to eat, something to drink to show that he has a body. And now they go boom. At that moment, they just now became a believer in Jesus.
Father, in the name of Jesus, may everyone understand the problem is not the word of God, it’s the interpretation of the word of god. Many of you are either young in the faith or even taught a theology by organized church and religion, and you have the wrong interpretation. You believe that one scripture yanked out teaches us theology, who God is from Genesis to revelation. It’s not hand plucking scriptures. Make it say whatever you want.
You gotta look deeper. You gotta look wider. The Bible interprets itself if you’ll sit back and read chapters and books and ask the Holy Spirit to give you truth and revelation. Father, I’m gonna thank you right now. Any single person that you put your faith and belief in, Jesus is what saves you.
Become born again of the spirit and a new creation, a new identity and the product of your belief in Jesus, you will bear fruit, a work that god begins, he will finish, not me or you. I’ve been following Jesus 43 years. I’ve done thousands and thousands of works. I would never take credit for one because it wasn’t me doing it.
It’s a Holy Spirit living inside of me that was leading me to do it. Father, you get all the glory. You get all the honor. You get all the praise. Bring truth and revelation to the body of Christ. Stop these false teachings.
Stop the false teachings on a work based gospel cuz that’s not the truth. Jesus, you’re the savior. The world for god so love the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever would believe in him would not perish but have everlasting life.
For god did not send his son into the world to condemn it, but that the world through him would be saved. You all have one free will decision. Do you accept the gift of his salvation? Because if you did and you have belief in Jesus, now you’re saving. And guess what? We’re the clay and gods, the Potter, the Holy Spirit’s gonna change you over a lifetime.
Anyone who puts their faith in belief in Jesus, you will bear fruit because that’s a product of putting your faith in Jesus. Stop listening to these false teachers. They’re teaching a false gospel. Because I want to tell you now, in my weakness, God is my strength. When I’m faithless, god is faithful.
And a work that god has begun in me over 43 years ago, he is faithful to finish it. All the glory, all the honor, all the praise goes to you, Jesus. No man gets to stand in this glory. And Jesus mighty name, amen.
