Lacey getting the carry, getting Pinnacle line of scrimmage, but then pulling his way forward inside the five. They’ll spot him down there and stop the clock with 19 seconds to go. Taking a little longer than we’d like. Six seconds already ticking off, and then they tried to go with the kill, just dropped it, picked it up. No words, just fine 22. Christian Jones with a catch, not the way it was designed, but it turned out pretty well. Another Alabama touchdown. So one second left. They will keep it on the ground, and they will have about as much success on the last half of the half as they had on the others. What a first two quarters of football from Nick Savins, Alabama Crimson Tide. As Alabama goes to the locker room with a 30-nothing lead over the Owls down on the field, Mark Cooks sideline reporter, Tom Roberts. Kelly, the rugby-style approach almost ran right in to Alabama’s Tyler Hayes, but Hart will fill this one, and he has got a lot of running room, or he did, but sort of tripped as he crossed the 30. They have taken a misstep during halftime warm-ups, but we’ll keep an eye on him. Looks fine on that drop, dumping it off to Michael Williams. A big tight end who had just three catches coming into the ball game. Now operating from the pistol with TJ Yeldon as the setback, and he was looking for somebody to run into there, and he had to look a long while before he found somebody. Amari Cooper to the bottom of the picture, again all day for McCarrick. He will tuck it, he will run, and if the defender will turn around, he’ll see McCarrick head out of bounds. Inbama is outside the 21 of Florida Atlantic. What a great cut on the part of Yeldon. Most running backs would have been stopped for no gain, but too tight end looking for Alabama. Nowhere to go there, but the first time today that we have seen anybody from Florida Atlantic come through unblocked. McCarrick with pressure coming will be brought down. Ball came out, and let’s see who he’s gonna get it. It’ll be Bama football, but back to back negative plays. That one resulting in the ninth sack of the year on a try of a 46 yard field goal. This will be his shortest attempt of the year. Everything has been beyond 50 yards, plenty of leg on this one. And that one is good as well. He had a 52 yarder early, he drills the 46 yarder there. His third and fourth successful kicks in six tries this year in Alabama, now with a 33 to nothing lead. So, it’s this midway point of the third quarter before they’re able to complete a pass that goes to positive yardage as D. Hart will watch this one roll dead inside the 20 yard line. But one may sound different, may sound a little different from Phillip than it does Govan from AJ as Hart will get the carry, breaks one tackle, gets across the 20, breaks another tackle, gets to the 25 and spins to the 26. That will be very close, but just shy of the first down marker. It’s just gotten better and better and better and now in his senior year considered maybe the best offensive lineman in the world. In the game at his position, D. Hart spinning his way. He got the first down before anybody touched him. Sims is a guy that Tyler, everybody kept saying, well, he’ll go to another spot other than quarterback, but just kept impressing people. And that’s why he is still considered one of Alabama’s signal callers. Yeah, he can run, but he got it out on the flat in a hurry to Cyrus Jones. A couple of them have gone for touchdowns, number 17, number 18, number 18, number 18. He’s gone for touchdowns, number 17 in the game for the Crimson Tide on second down and seven. Sims now trying to elude the rush, but he can’t. He will be sacked on the play by Brent Harstad. But now with two minutes to go in the third quarter, having to punt for the first time today. A little pooch kick that will hit at the five. The wedge checks up beautifully. And Nick Perry will down it at the 11-yard line. Sean Kelly has done his best as a freshman. Keep him in this. He’s averaged just 38 yards per punt, but again over 51 on seven kicks today. That, a low-line drive effort that Hart will have a chance to return, makes the first guy miss, and the second finally gets stood up and brought down as he gets into FAU territory at the Owls 44. Women’s golf, national championship in gymnastics for the sixth time under Sarah Patterson. She’s got to hand out more rings today to Pat Murphy’s softball team. But I know what’s been done with Bryant Hall in terms of the academic facilities. We see this fourth down play with Blake Sims at quarterback getting to that first down mark and moving the chains. The first and 10 for the Crimson Tide with Blake Sims at quarterback. Kenyon Drake getting the call, a great little move. He gets near the first down mark as we check in with Tom Roberts. Coming into the season, fist string running back, and that’s a guy with those tight moves. That’s right, he’s very impressive. Bruising young man, and that’s the thing, coaching. And they absolutely won’t compromise. Coach Bryant didn’t, and I’ll assure you Coach Schaepen. Kenyon Drake spinning into the end zone for his third touchdown of the season. A young man who has been so impressive. 6’1, 2’0, 5′ out of Powder Springs, Georgia. Malmoore’s got a lot of bling from all those titles that he has been a part of. And again, we’re proud of Football Hall of Fame honoring him as their Athletic Director of the Year. It’s an all-in-the-compensy award. True out of MLAs, Malmoore finding out to join us here in the press box. The Illinois football team giving up its biggest play of the day right there. And now, just unable to really produce anything. That game against the Hilltoppers would have been much closer. If they hadn’t helped the call so much. Trying to get to the 39, and they will. Winsom has bumped out of bounds on the play. Blitz coming. It picked up nicely. And they break one tackle, but not a second. And we brought the pressure again, and just a quick hitter to the perimeter. They’re going to work their way for their fourth first down of the day. Straight handoff, bouncing it outside, trying to cut it back, and very close to the first down in the play will be Jonathan Wallace, but he’s going to be a half-yard shy. And let’s see what Carpenter-Leigh opts to do here. A little more than a foot. High snap, but they got the first down. They can pick up a first down as the ball is spotted just outside the tent. A flag coming in, which is simply going to be a sideline warning, I believe. I thought that was the initial blow. A snap, a sportsman like Conduck, Alabama bench, the Phillies have the business of the goal. The main first down. So not a sideline warning. Bama shows pressure. Wilbert looking, has a man. It is caught for a touchdown. Today, Patrick, the linebacker, trying to stay with a tight end. Alex De Leon. And for almost three full ball games, Alabama able to throw a shutout, but the Owls able to put points on the board. Ben Howell on the carry for the Crimson Tide. Great to see a senior towards the end of his career now get an opportunity in some ball games and making the most of it. Two carries, nine yards. Even I can do the math there. Nick Saban’s not worried about the future. He’s worried about the next play, the next ball game, and the next opponent, which will be the Ole Miss Rebels. They have had their issues this year, but Ole Miss playing early today in New Orleans against the Tulane Green Wave. First down for Bama, another carry for the Tide, Blake Sims. Likely the final snap of the game. As Howell gets the carry, moves the pile again, gets to the 45. That’ll be enough for a first down. That will result in the clock being stopped briefly. May have to snap it one more time, but I don’t think so. They’ll restart it, and they will not restart the play clock. Or will they? They’re even still with a word or two for the line judge, but Alabama gets a victory. That is not to be forgotten. Alabama with a 40-7 win. Didn’t win by the margin that Vegas thought. Didn’t get the shutout, but they got the W, and at the end of the day, that is what matters the most. Crimson Tide a winner and stands now perfect at 4-0 on the season as they look forward to lead play once again next week. We’ll be back and recap this one in just a moment here on Crimson Tide Pay Per View.
