Toy Story 5 will be about toys versus technology. They did a teaser at D23 and it’s coming out June 2026. Teaser, it shows Bonnie with a tablet under the covers and it’s like the light shining on her face and the toys are standing on the bed in the background. Like, what? And they also show that Buzz Lightyear will be stuck on toy mode, like 50 of them. So that might be part of the villainry or maybe it’s Buzz against the iPad. But it shows that Woody’s gonna be back and it’s gonna be directed by Andrew Stanton, who directed WALL-E, Finding Nemo, and the other Toy Story. I think this is the perfect time to bring up technology versus toys. Bonnie’s growing up and I wonder if they’re gonna fit in social media in there or just make it about iPads and TV. They also announced Incredibles 3 will be coming out. There will also be a Frozen 3 and a Moana 2. I’m most excited to see what they do with the concept of Toy Story 5 with toys versus tech. Are they gonna bring in augmented reality, metaverse, like how far will they go with the technology theme? Or is it gonna be set like 10 years ago? I wonder if they’ll have the iPad talk, like talk back to the toys, like Buzz and Woody go up to it and is like, hey, what are you doing? And the iPad’s like, I am taking over.
