Banksy’s eighth piece in a row. It appears to be a rhino trying to mount a car. Car has a traffic cone which looks like a rhino horn. Does this represent how human activity has led to the extinction of rhinos? I think yes. Rhinos are having a very hard time reproducing. This is the last living white rhino. He has no potential mates. The white rhino will be extinct. And the reason for all of this is human activity. Mostly poaching for the rhino’s horn, which is shown here by the traffic cone. Is this what this means? I don’t know, but it’s a good theory. As we’ve been talking about all last week, Banksy is taking over London. The rhino ends up being the eighth day in a row, which actually is a little surprising. Most people only thought it would last a week. Banksy caps off his zoological spree with two new final artworks. And this was in reference to the fishes. However, Banksy has continued into this week. I think we can assume it’ll keep going. And we also heard yesterday that Banksy’s support organization, the Pest Control Office, has said that the theorizing that people have been doing is way too involved and that the artist’s vision is simple. But how can that be? This is so specific. This is what the police box looked like yesterday. And to protect it, barriers have now been put up. You are therefore unable to go inside. Apparently the city of London is still trying to figure out how to preserve this. But literally I’m so excited. We get to continue another week.
