and welcome to Fox nine. Good day. Uh, we’re gonna start out the show with some news that I’m going to share with you right now. I am going to be leaving Fox nine. Um for 25 years. You have been welcoming me into your home each weekday morning, and it’s impossible to find the words of gratitude that I feel about my years of Fox nine. I have an ocean’s worth of memories and incredible people that I’ve met. Some of them were newsmakers. Others were just kind of regular peeps who tell me I grew up watching you, which is just the ultimate compliment. And I grew up a little bit, too. But it is time for me to move on and start a new chapter in my life and spend some time on passion projects. First and foremost screenwriting. This has been my side hustle for nearly a decade now, and I absolutely love it. And the time is right, and I’m going all in, so I’m not saying goodbye yet. That will be coming on September 6th. That is my last day at Fox nine. So until then, I will be sharing my favorite memories of the last 25 years here at Fox nine. So I just wanted to pass along a big thank you of support for everybody out there who’s been watching for 25 years. Excuse me, getting a little emotional and of course to my colleagues here at Fox nine. We’re gonna have a big party for a couple of weeks. And I’m looking forward to it, but I’m very excited and truly this has been the experience of a lifetime and it shaped my life. So you just told us a few minutes go ourselves. We’re kind of processing a little bit just like you probably are as well, but we’re happy for you. Yeah, it was. What is Fox nine without a scandal? The cats out of the bag. Yeah, we’re so we’re so thrilled for you. I know I speak for so many of us here that we’ve loved working with you. We’ve learned a lot from you. We laugh. We have a great time together on air, obviously, as you guys know, but off air too. And we’re really excited that you’re excited about this and that’s your choice and it’s your thing that you want to do this. This is the time and like you said, you have so much energy left to give to this new. New me new hip. New life. She’s just moving on. Well, we have lots of weeks to celebrate, yeah, right? And of course, gonna pull it the archive, cause that’s always really. Oh, there’s lots. She’s from the archive. Yeah, I know. She’s from there. I noticed you’re going to get one more state fair in two. Yeah, yeah, I got that for sure. One more state fair and I’m sure that you know we’ll have a chance to meet some of you and I look forward to that and of course one less dance off so at the state fair, which is going to be crazy. But yeah, I’m happy to spread the news and it’s just something that I’ve been thinking about, by the way, for some time. So it’s not. I know you guys just learned about it kind of. But it’s now now you know at home, so I just want to share that news. Yeah, alright, well, should we get into it? Let’s do let’s get some talkers there. So we’re going to start to the second one.
