Summer Glow Routine: Easy Makeup Tips for Hot Days

Listen, it is hot out in the streets. We have another month left of summer, and I still have a summer vacation planned at the end of the month in the Keys. I’m gonna show you the easiest three to five minute makeup routine to get us through this heat. And with all this heat, less is more. I do not wanna feel anything heavy on my face. I’m using this Ilia Milky Toner. Think about this as a liquid moisturizer. Super lightweight on the skin. Love this for my oily skin, but it just melts right into the skin, and it’s skincare bonus. In the spirit of light and airy, get you a Korean SPF. These are called sun creams. They go on like water. They even have like a cooling sensation. Soak right into the skin immediately. Don’t even have to wait to go in with makeup. It’s not even there. These Korean formulas have been the find of the year. We’re makeup girls here, okay? One SPF’s not enough, especially because the Korean sunscreens are clear. I like to go in with a little bit of glow. This SPF 30 Radiance Base from RMS. This is so good. This is what I wished COSA’s was. Now this product is only an SPF 30, which is why we went in with 50 underneath it. We are 56, and we spend a lot of money on skincare over here. We are not going to be exposed to the sun. Also not gonna get our product from a base product that claims to have an SPF 30 in it. You will not use the amount needed in an SPF 30 product with coverage to get that SPF 30. And anyways, SPF 30’s not enough. Excuse me, look how beautiful this is on the skin. If you’re over 50, check out RMS. Oh my God, their products on mature skin, dreamy. Told you we’re makeup girls over here, okay? But we’re not gonna give up our SPF. We also don’t want a lot of shit sitting on our face. This product from Dermatology, it’s the Eye Brightener. This little cooling tip, frankly, I mean, I think it’s kind of gimmicky because it’s not like you’re rubbing this in with the tip. Well, I don’t know, maybe you are. If that’s you, I love that for you. Just kind of get it placed. It’s an SPF of 41 in it. You’re getting Concealing, Correcting, Luminosity, and SPF, yes please. And I just get this blended in with a concealer brush. The same thing that I do with concealer or corrector. I tap in the SPF, but I’m also getting a fair bit of brightening and luminosity. And I don’t need concealer, that’s the best part. Under my nose, do some correcting there. But there we are, glowy base. And although I would love to be the girl that walks around with a glowy skin all day long, skin’s oily, so that shit’s gonna happen anyways. You have to set this face down. Thinness Emyricks Evolution Powder. The best powder ever made, ever. For that whole oily skin thing, we need products that set down. I cannot have things staying dewy and sticky on my face, which is what I love about Daniel Sandler. This is the Glow product, this is Hot Toddy, which is sort of a bronzer, blush combo. I also like the Hourglass Watercolor product, very much like water. And I like to do it like this with my stands out. And look how healthy. It’s just like these products, they go right over powder. Just give you this healthy look to the skin. I have this in so many shades, and I love it. They’re like stains. This is the Glow One, do the same thing. I just love how these set down and just look like skin. Oh, gorgeous. We look glowy, but we’re not, you know? This kind of look, eye shadow’s gonna be totally optional. Merit Shadow in shade Mid Century. And you just get it out here just for a little bit of contour, not looking at doing the most. Yes, when it’s hot, not standard. These are likely the products I’ll be taking to the Keys with me later this month. We’re gonna do this Aurora Shadow in 24 Karat Gold, but I’m gonna use it like a micro glitter. Lightly tap, just a little bit of something. It can be used totally full pigment or lightly tapping, and then they’re like micro glitters. You’re gonna have something exciting coming up with this. Get a long wearing lip liner. These Maybelline Lift Dirt Liners will last you all day. Shade on it. Use a tubing formula to do some lashes. Tubing formulas are gonna be water resistant when you’re hot and sweaty and nasty. Mascara’s not gonna be all over your face. We love that. And just add a gloss. I love this shade Guava from Health Lab. Sort of like a lip shade. And that’s it. This is what I’ll be taking with me. This is a good fresh face to get us through summer till we can wear all of those yummy fall looks and not be sweating. Can’t wait. I would throw an SPF spray in my bag. I have the one from Naked Sundays. It’s purple and they come in minis. You can pick them up at Target. SPF 50, you retouch up your makeup. You look glowing, fabulous, and you’re protected. Okay, that’s it, everybody. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments. I’ll catch you on the next one. And take care of yourselves and each other. Bye.
