A lot of people think that layoffs are evil, okay? A lot of people think that layoffs are bad, but layoffs are actually the best thing you can possibly do for your company. And let’s talk about hiking to make the point, okay? Say that you’re hiking up a mountain. You have a backpack on and it’s full of 40 pounds of wasteful, lazy, stupid rocks, okay? How are you gonna get to the summit more easily and faster? Get rid of the rocks, okay? Either get rid of them one by one as you scale or just cut the backpack loose immediately and get to the summit, okay? So using that analogy, it’s pretty simple to understand that having layoffs is a good thing.
