Disappointment with the Promotion of ‘It Ends with Us’ and Missed Opportunities in Addressing Important Topics

I just finished watching it ends with us and I have a lot of thought. I am disappointed. This is coming from a big Colleen Hoover fan by the way. I’m disappointed mainly with the promotion of this film and the marketing and everything to do with it. And I love Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and all of them. They have been missing the complete point of this film, of the book, of the important topics that they should be talking about, the reason why they should be promoting this film and raising awareness. And they’re just not, they’re making it like it’s just some romantic comedy, which it’s not by the way. And like the film itself missed so many points that like, if anything, it makes the female victim kind of look bad, if that makes sense. There’s a lot more that I wanted to see in it. But aside from that, I think I’m just most mad at the promotion of this film and the marketing and how everyone’s treating Justin. And I don’t know what’s happened. Maybe he fucked up, maybe he done something. But like, he seems to be the only one talking about DV. And no one else talking about it. Blake looks lovely on the red carpet, but like, girl, it’s not about the flowers. Like you missed the whole plot of the film.
