Butterscotch Bliss: A Decadent and Easy Poke Cake Recipe

Now I call this one butterscotch poke cake and let me tell you it is one of the easiest and tastiest desserts and perfect for any occasion and I’m going to show you how I like to make it. Now for this recipe I like to use the Pillsbury German chocolate cake mix, but if you don’t like German chocolate any chocolate cake mix will do. Get that cake mix whipped up per package instructions and into a greased foil pan and into the oven until it’s done. Now this is important once your cake’s done make sure to let it cool off completely before you go poking your holes. So now that my cake is done and cooled completely I’m going to take a big fork and start stabbing a bunch of little holes in there. I’ve seen people use the back end of a wooden spoon but I prefer a fork. Once you got your holes poked we’re going to top this cake with a can of sweet and condensed milk and remember to spread it around evenly. The goal here is for that sweet condensed milk to soak into the cake. Follow that up with a drizzle of chocolate sauce and caramel sauce and then hit it with some extra creamy cool whip over the top. Spread that cool whip out evenly over the course of your cake and then we’re going to hit it with a little more chocolate sauce and a little more caramel sauce. Grab you a big heaping handful of some butterscotch chips and then spread those over the top and then you’re ready to eat. Y’all really gotta try this one.
