enough of you actually made it clear how awesome Five Below is. Five Below is so cute and cool so we’re gonna do a little haul. I have a trip coming up, I have my sister’s birthday coming up which is what the trip is for to Napa Valley and also to record an episode of my new podcast. It’s a travel podcast. Anyway I’ll tell you more about that another day. So let’s do a haul because I did Dollar Store and I did Five Below. I think it was Dollar Tree and I was blown away by Five Below. So let’s start with Five Below because it’s too cute and if you know my sister you can’t tell her all the stuff I got because it’s gonna be a surprise for this weekend and also for my niece her daughter. Okay so first things first I got this for my baby niece. She turns one in September. I’m gonna be doing another trip and covering it in my podcast but this is so cute and this has an inside joke because this is one of her mom’s, my sister’s wife, is a plant mommy and she’s like obsessed with plants so I got her this little plushie as like her first plant and I’m also gonna get her a sushi plushie which represents my sister and I’m gonna get her some kind of microphone for babies which represents me. Okay so this is so cute. This was I think five dollars. Okay next at Five Below, oh my god so I started junk journaling literally yesterday. I’m gonna be, I took a book from my bookshelf that I was never gonna read frankly and I already started the collaging process but this is going to be chronicling all of my travels and also just like day-to-day life stuff so I’m really excited about the junk journaling process and I just needed a few things and I didn’t want to like go too crazy with it. Sharpie pens, I’ve just heard that these are incredible and I’m gonna just write everywhere with these and then I got, oh yeah, oh this was such a good deal. Five dollars for a set of 28 illustration markers. One side is fine point, the other side is brush. I’m gonna start learning how to hand letter for the journal so this was a really good deal. Awesome. So many good colors. The other thing, oh they had a whole wet and wild section so I got a like a nude brownish palette. It’ll be good for going out this weekend. Oh I’ve been looking for incense holders forever because the most effective thing for keeping mosquitoes away from me outside when I’m doing like deck restoration or yard work are these incense repellent sticks. These like incense sticks that are insect repellent and mosquito repellent, they’re so effective but I really needed the right holders for them so I got these. These were $3.25 each. I got four of them because I need to form a perimeter and they’re all different colors. They’re really pretty, right? So finally have incense holders and then I got like little things that I needed. One of my iPhone chargers broke so got the cord. This was I think four or five dollars. Something like that. I got protein bars because I was starving from being out all day. $3 and then I’m super excited about these. I got wall collage kits and they’re like small collages. I got one that’s a traveler one, the other one that’s like a bohemian collage kit. These are gorgeous. There I was a little bit concerned because I think they might be like a little bit too thick. Let me show you a cool one. But I’m going to like chop them up. I’m gonna cut them up and put little bits of them into my junk journals so I hope they work out. They were $4 for a pack of 30 of these. Look at how beautiful that is. So and if your worst comes to worst I could make them wall art or use them for some other project and I love the bohemian ones. The designs are so pretty. I’m gonna be able to literally just cut these up and use them in all different ways. So instead of buying like scrapbooking paper sets which can be so like iffy and you get like 15 sheets for $15 I got $8. I got 60 different images that I can chop up into smaller images. So I’m glad about that. Now speaking of different imagery for the junk journals I got this idea from somebody else’s TikTok. I can’t remember her name but she said basically buy these books because they have beautiful backgrounds that you can use. Look like this. I can just take this out and use it as a background for my junk journal. So all of these books each of these was I think $5 and they have gorgeous imagery that I’m going to. I love this one because it has every single month so I’m gonna be able to divide each month using one of these pages. So cute! Then there’s like a celestial painting one. This one’s like look at that. Oh my god this one’s gonna be bomb for backgrounds. And this one’s bigger so I’m gonna be able to get like a little bit more out of it than just one sheet per sheet. Then I got a sticker book and it’s like the So Many Feelings sticker books and it has like all sorts of stickers that have different feelings emojis and things. I thought this would be cute for here and there putting stickers in the book and then the surprise is for the girls this weekend my niece’s name is Ruby. She’s not gonna be with us but we’re all obsessed with her so I got all of the girls Ruby face masks that we can do Friday night after our flight in and we can just sit drink some wine because we’re in Napa and do some Ruby face masks. So that is the Five Below haul and then the Dollar Tree haul is a card for my sister, a card for my niece for her first birthday, $1 each. Amazing. Oh I got these pop-up stickers. I was like oh they’re a little bulky for a junk journal but I couldn’t help it look how cute they are. I may put them all over the cover of the book. I don’t know or inside who cares. Oh yeah I got this micro tip brush pen $1.25. Crazy I can’t wait to try this one. For my sister’s birthday I got a bunch of like little knickknacks so I got us all crowns because we’re queens and then I got four zero it’s a 40th birthday so four zero bubble or balloons. I got a banner that says let’s party. I got a banner that says happy birthday and I got string for that so basically I’m gonna have them go somewhere or distract her and I’m gonna decorate the Airbnb so it feels like her birthday Airbnb as a surprise. I also got these stickers. These are really great for putting in the junk journal and writing specific notes about things. I’m really really happy. I’ve been looking for these on Amazon so I got these for $1.25 which was great. Some tape to take with me because I don’t have like a small portable tape dispenser for hanging the balloons and such and that’s it. That’s my haul. I’m so happy. Just one more time Flushy.
