Cross-Country Train Adventures: From Atlanta to North Carolina

travel with me from Atlanta to North Carolina by train. Now I don’t know why I thought I was gonna walk in a Grand Central Station and hop on a Polar Express train, but we walked in y’all and it looked like a civil rights train station and the people was giving Jackson family reunion the way they was yelling up in air. But no for real, the train station was just small, but my dad waited with us the whole time, even though we’re 20 and 22 y’all, he waited with us the whole time, he walked with us to the train, everybody was like, oh, is this y’all first time? We was like, yeah. Honestly, when it comes to the train ride, everything was pretty smooth, the seats was big, it was just like a big airplane seat. But the people on the bus, y’all, that was the only thing, they was acting like it was 2 p.m. and they was yelling up a storm, they was acting like it was lunch time. If this is how people act on Amtrak, I’m sorry, but I would hate to see how folks act on Greyhound, I don’t know how people do it. By this time it was like 4 a.m. and I had woken up to this lady talking about something, why are we in Gainesville, why are we in Gainesville? Because it’s a stop, I don’t know, why are we in Gainesville? Y’all, I was so fed up. Our train ride lasted from like 11.30 p.m. to 7.30 a.m., so by this time the sun was up and I was in better spirits because I could look outside, people wasn’t yelling, like mm, now they did come around and wake us all up for our stops because I was nervous I was gonna miss my stop by being asleep or something, but they definitely came and woke us up. But yeah, we arrived safe and sound in North Carolina and tomorrow we’re taking the train from North Carolina to New Jersey, so stay tuned.
