How to section for a basic nine block perm. I always start with the center parting. I use a perm rod to measure each section, making sure the width of the hair will fit the width of the rod. When parting the sides, I’ll use the rod again to determine how much hair will go into each section. To the back, I’ll follow my previous sections as a guide to part all three middle quadrants. I’ll then do the same thing to the bottom half. At the end, you should have nine quadrants ready to be wrapped.
