Rocking the Night Away: A Co-Headlining Tour with ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd in Mount Pleasant, Michigan

Tonight we’re in Mount Pleasant, Michigan for ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s co-headlining tour. It’s about 70 degrees outside. It’s the perfect night. Let’s go see some music. Look at that sunset. We grabbed our tickets, headed inside, just in time to see ZZ Top. They played Jesus Just Left Chicago, which is my favorite song, and their whole set was great. Then we headed backstage to see Peter’s Awesome Jacket, check out the rest of the band’s wardrobe area, met Johnny and Ricky, and then we headed back out front, look at this crowd, headed back out there to see the band play their set. If you haven’t seen Lynyrd Skynyrd before, which this was our first time, you’ve gotta go. I mean, Ricky is shredding, Johnny is singing. The whole band is killing it. They did a little tribute to Gary Rossington here. I mean, the show was everything you could ask for. 13 songs, all hits. You’ve gotta go see Lynyrd Skynyrd.
